#3 Argonaut

"I remember the night Argonaut showed up incognito and fought all comers to a standstill. The night Colony was killed in the ring, and what came out of him. I remember holding a stranger by the hair, one arm raised to the crowd."

A seldom-seen hero of legendary prowess, Argonaut claims to be a surviving member of Jason's crew who afterwards journeyed north and east and discovered the secret of immortality, somewhere in the Caucasus mountains. He has lost much of his memory, but possesses fragmentary recollection of the Trojan War, and the songs of Orpheus. A solitary figure, he was last reported in the early 1980's in Thailand, where he spoke of plans to journey into the interior of the continent.

Hi Austin,

Loved your book. Have you noticed that DC has a Justice League villian now named Dr. Impossible? There's a wikipedia stub about him. Coincidence?

Thanks Fishist! It actually is coincidence. You know the Justice League came up during an editing pass, but by that time I'd been using the character name for years and knew I wanted it, so we stared'em down. I feel like changing the wikipedia entry now! But that would be wrong.
