I will be at Writers in Drag this Saturday, which is not what it sounds like

Here's the Scoop:

Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008:
Writers In Drag: writers read works they've written outside their normal genres!
Austin Grossman (Soon I Will Be Invincible) reads fantasy
Stephen Elliott (Happy Baby) reads something TBA
Annalee Newitz (io9.com) reads science fiction
Michelle Tea (Rose Of No Man's Land) reads cyberpunk

All proceeds benefit the Center for Sex and Culture.
At The Make-Out Room 3225 22nd. St., San Francisco CA, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, doors open at 7 PM.
In actual fact I can't guarantee a fantasy work - we may be trending in a weirder direction. Come find out!

Man, I wish I could go. If you were in drag, I'd definitely buy a plane ticket.

Makeout Room, Drag, Center for Sex & Culture... are the works all erotic in nature? What's the angle?

By the way, "Soon..." is one of the best journalistic / historic works I've read in quite some time. You should be very proud.

Shameless self-promo-time: I'd be ridiculously honored if you gave my humble blog a hit sometime...
