News and announcements about Soon I Will Be Invincible. Which is a book for people who think supervillains are kind of interesting and also want to read something smart and basically literate.

Sundry Writings
From time to time there comes a crisis of such magnitude that I am compelled to address the nation in prose.
Completely unrelated to this post itself, but I just finished "Soon I Will Become Invincible", and it was one of the most enjoyable novels I have read in a long while. Are you planning any other novel-length works? (and/or do you have any short fiction lying around anywhere?)
I was especially pleased by the tastiness of your prose itself, which is what made me actually read the book after your title pulled me in. You had me hooked at the first correctly-used semi-colon. If I can get my own writing to that level, I'll be happy.
Another shout to your book. I found it at the library 24 hours ago and just finished it. It was the best was to spend the last few free days before the fall semester eats up my life Physical Chemistry and Cell Biology. I initially thought the book was just going to be campy fun - and don't get me wrong, I love campy fun - but it turned out to be as much strangely beautiful as it was playful. Thanks!
The creators talked about making her appear modern and tough - they call it “a street-fighter’s look,” which makes sense in that the puffy-shouldered jacket and rolled-up sleeves recall the dancing gang leaders of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” video.
HAHAHA. It really *does* make sense.
I can't wait to read your book!
Maybe I can review it for Bookslut? Or do an interview with you?

"Notes From a Video Game Developer" is a great, thoughtful consideration.
